The European Magnetic Sensors and Actuators Conference (EMSA) is a consolidated European forum that serves to assess the status, recent progress, and development in the field of magnetic sensor technology and magnetic actuators. It was first held in 1996 in Iasi (Romania) and since then has continued every two-three years in different European cities. The aim of the conference is to generate an overview of research in magnetic sensors and actuators, to recognize their relevance in modern industry and to identify potential future collaborations. EMSA 2022 will provide an excellent opportunity to bring together scientists and engineers from universities, research institutes and industry to present and discuss their most recent results covering both fundamental and applied aspects of magnetic sensors and actuators.
The XIII European Magnetic Sensors and Actuators Conference (EMSA 2022) will take place from 5th to 8th of July 2022 in the Faculty of Physics of the Complutense University (Madrid). The oral sessions will be carried out in one of the lecture halls of the Faculty whereas the coffee breaks, lunch and poster sessions will be carried out in the recently renewed Exhibition Hall. Complutense University is located in Moncloa district, very close to the city center and well connected by metro and bus.
We are glad to announce that, thanks to the sponsorship of IEEE Magnetic Society, we offer 16 grants in order to promote the participation of PhD students in the Conference. They will cover 100% of the registration fee (250 €). If possible, at least 50% of the grants will be awarded to female students. Besides, there will be an award for both the best oral and best poster presentations made by students.
More details about how to apply to the grants will be published during the registration period.
Madrid is a very well-known capital city with a number of cultural, artistic and touristic attractions, with a huge accommodation offer and very well connected to the rest of the world through its International Airport (Adolfo Suárez-Barajas). The wide Metro and Bus network spreads all over the city and makes quite easy to go to the Conference from any hotel or accommodation site.
We believe that the merger of science and enjoyment will be an unforgettable experience for all the participants in EMSA2022.
We look forward to meeting you in Madrid!!
